The bath ritual

In Japan, bathing is conceived as a sanctuary for the soul. It invites us to immerse ourselves in the steamy waters of meditation and opens a space for feelings and emotions.

Recharge your spirit, replenish your body, before embarking on the adventure of life again.

Purification is central to ancient Japanese thought, and bathing is part of this philosophy. Feeling clean, taking care of oneself. Like soap lather that washes away dirt and impurities, or oil that deeply detoxifies – these are beauty rituals deeply rooted in Japan.

Don't take a Japanese bath just to wash. The Japanese wash themselves outside the bath. This frees them from any obligation to do anything once inside. Separate function from pleasure. Disconnect from technology. Feel the day's hustle and bustle leave you and dissipate in the steam. Let the warm water massage your belly. Relax, doze, hum, relive. Listen to the evening rain.
