Gentleness and Purity

The Japanese approach to skincare, based on natural and traditional ingredients

Bizen Rice Ferment

A signature ingredient of Bizen, our rice ferment makes up 9% of the soap's composition. It contains 16 free amino acids as well as ceramides, providing your skin with sustained hydration, antioxidant protection, and natural hyaluronic acid retention. Made from whole grain rice, it naturally contains fiber and vitamins that nourish the skin. It is sourced from our rice paddies in Iwate. Organically grown. Patent pending.

Camellia oil

Melts into the skin. Camellia oil contains 80 to 90% oleic acid, making it easily absorbed by the epidermis, whose sebum is composed of 40 to 50% of the same acid. A beauty secret of geishas, it softens, relaxes tense tissues, soothes inflammation, and leaves skin feeling smooth. Its resistance to oxidation protects the skin from external aggressors, including the sun's rays. Steeped in five thousand years of history, our camellia oil is produced in Mihara and embodies an ancestral know-how preserved on the volcanic island of Izu Ōshima.

Natural Oils

Natural oils of rice bran, green tea, argan, jojoba soften the skin.

Self-care as a way of life

The packaging originated from rice cultivation in Japan.

Your most frequently asked questions

Is Bizen soap a makeup remover?

It won't remove your foundation or mascara. But it will remove the day's dust and pollution, leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean.

How can I incorporate Bizen soap into my daily beauty routine?

For gentle facial cleansing, Bizen soap adapts to your beauty routine. It can be used alone for a gentle facial cleansing without any tightness.

In addition to oil-based makeup removal, it also fits perfectly into a double cleansing ritual, used after oil-based makeup removal, to get rid of the last traces of makeup and rid the skin of all impurities.

How is it used as a shampoo?

Like a regular shampoo. It's gentle on the scalp. One of our users recommends rinsing with water and rice vinegar to maintain the same theme.

Is it suitable for pregnant women?

Bizen soap is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Its fragrance-free formula, rich in postbiotics derived from rice ferment, respects the skin's natural balance.

Notice

Sensitive Skin

After using your soap for several weeks, from head to toe, I must first say that I absolutely love its very delicate, natural scent. I'm very particular about this, having an extremely sensitive sense of smell. I found it very gentle on my skin, which is important because I tend to react badly to soap (eczema, redness, and dryness), even cold-process soaps. I think the fermented rice extract, with its probiotics, makes all the difference. My scalp also loved it, and my short hair benefited greatly from a rinse with water and rice vinegar, to keep with the theme. In short, it's a fantastic discovery for me.

Bizen, conscious care

Bizen revitalizes abandoned rice paddies and is part of a circular economy, where rice residues are transformed into high value-added assets.
